What is an aftermarket product?

Aftermarket products are replacement parts and spare machinery used to maintain equipment and systems. Aftermarket services are service providers who engage the re-conditioning of equipment manufactured by the original equipment manufacturer.

Do your products come with a warranty?

All warranties for products offered by Aftermarket Xplorer whether distributed or contract manufactured by us are published on our site. Warranties offered by alliance manufacturers are approved and published on our site by permission of each alliance manufacturer. Aftermarket Xplorer is in no way liable for warranties offered by alliance Manufacturers.

Can an OEM market products with the Xplorer?

Yes. If your company is an OEM of process related products, you can market with the Xplorer, providing that the pricing structure for your offerings are reasonable compared to a non-oem manufacturer. We recognize that there are many OEMs that offer their product at reasonable market values. Contact us for more information.

Buying (General)


How do I pay for my purchases?

Our terms are (30) days on open accounts. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards for net invoice amounts plus applicable taxes and shipping charges. For orders outside the continental US, payment must be received before orders can be processed and shipment made. The preferred international payment method is wire transfer, Our bank routing number will be provided upon request.

Buying (Surplus Parts and Equipment)


What if I need more information on an item of interest?

Once you send a surplus item to the quote cart, and process your request, you can check the Need More Information box at the top of the form and enter your questions in the text box. We will contact the seller and respond to you once we have received a response from the seller.

Is there a warranty on purchased surplus parts?

No. There are no warranties offered on any surplus listings.

Who pays freight and taxes on surplus listings purchased?

Freight cahrges and taxes are issues between buyer and seller. Unless otherwise stated by the seller, the buyer is responsible for all freight charges and applicable taxes. Aftermarket Xplorer acts only as a venue between buyer and seller and does not take possession of any surplus listing.

What if I purchase a listing (s) that is no longer available?

It is the sole responsibility of the listing seller to notify Aftermarket Xplorer of all surplus listings which have been made unavailable Before completing quotations for surplus listings, the Xplorer will contact the seller for verification of availability of each listing.

What if I purchase a listing (s) and fail to receive my shipment?

When payment is received from a buyer for a purchased surplus listing (s), payment will be deposited into an easily identifiable escrow account. Payment to the seller will be held in escrow until seller provides Aftermarket Xplorer with proof that successful delivery has been made i.e bill of lading etc. at which time Aftermarket Xplorer will remit payment to the seller for the published price of the listing (s) as provided to Aftermarket Xplorer by seller.

A purchase is considered complete once Aftermarket Xplorer receives proof of delivery from the seller. If proof of delivery has not been received from the seller within (7) days of purchase, Aftermarket Xplorer will contact the seller in an effort to remedy the situation for the buyer. If after a reasonable effort has been made by us to remedy the situation and seller fails to complete the purchase transaction, Aftermarket Xplorer will refund the buyers full purchase amount only. Aftermarket Xplorer is not responsible for any other damages consequential or otherwise to the buyer as a consequence of sellers failure to compete the transaction.

Selling Surplus Pumps and Parts


Who Can Sell Surplus with Aftermarket Xplorer?

Corporate managers with industrial manufacturers, distributors, salvage dealers and resellers can sell surplus pumps and parts with the Xplorer. Sell as an individual, small corporation or enterprise. Currently, sellers within the continental US and Canada can sell their surplus pumps and parts on our site. An Open Account with approved credit is required to sell surplus pumps and parts.

Are there any fees for listing my surplus items?

No. There are no listing or subscription fees for listing surplus pumps and parts.

What kinds of items can I list?

We currently are offering listing services for pumps and parts. Please limit you listings to these two categories We will be offering other services in the near future to accommodate additional listings.

Are there any commissions for selling my surplus with the Xplorer?

Yes. Generally, a commission from 10% to 25% will be added to the sellers asking price at the time of quotation, based upon the seller asking price.

How do I get paid for listings sold on the site?

Payments from the buyer will be held in escrow until seller provides proof that delivery has been made, after which Aftermarket Xplorer will remit payment within 10 days via company check in the amount of the price published by the seller to Aftermarket Xplorer.
